On June 24th, the Antique and Classic Car Club of Canada paid a visit to the Antique Machinery Centre. Approximately 55 cars, and 80 members from all over Ontario, stopped by to tour the museum and view our collection of antique equipment.

SZALAWIGA TRACTOR DRIVE - RECAPPING JULY 19TH, 2026

This year’s Szalawiga Tractor Drive took place on Sunday, July 19th, after poor weather forced a postponement from the original date of July 18th. Thank you to everyone who came out despite the change in plans!
This year’s route wound through Pelmo Park, Osaca, Starkville, Newtonville, Zion, and Port Britain, with plenty of curious onlookers along the way.
The drive wasn’t entirely without its hiccups: one tractor needed a pull-start after a low battery, and another was towed back to home base (thankfully just three miles away) after overheating. Both drivers were good sports about it! The day wrapped up with a BBQ hosted by Barry and no shortage of stories to go around!

Twelve tractors took part in this year’s drive, representing a great mix:
•Allis-Chalmers - 5
•John Deere - 2
•Farmall - 1
•Oliver - 1
•Cockshutt - 1
•Case - 1
•David Brown - 1

On Wednesday, August 12th, the HAH Club joined the Orono Tractor Club for a tour of the Greenwood Minneapolis-Moline tractor collection, which included three different locations, full of antique equipment to explore!

Thank you to Ralph and Grant Greenwood and family for hosting, and to everyone who came up for a wonderful day and the BBQ lunch to finish things off.

Our 2026 Raffle Tractor (John Deere 920) had a great couple days on display at the Hastings Plowing Match and Farm Show.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by to see it and get themselves a raffle ticket. And many thanks to Barry Adamson, Barry Staples, and Greg St. Amand for their help selling tickets.

The tractor is now back on display at Peter Vanderwint's Odds and Ends, beside Herma's on highway 28, before heading to the Orono Fair in September (10-13).

The HAHClub will once again be taking part in the Port Hope Canada Day Parade on Wednesday, July 1st!

DUE TO CONSTRUCTION, THE PARADE START HAS MOVED:
Club members who are participating are asked to make their way east along Ridout Street to Bramley (note: Bramley is closed at that point), turn right on Bramley, then left onto Sullivan Street. We will be meeting at the corner of Little Hope and Sullivan Street at approximately 10:30 am.
If you are trailering your tractor in, please use the Jack Burger parking lot and drive your tractor down to meet the group from there.
The more the merrier! All are welcome to bring their tractors out - the kids always love to see them!

Our annual open house and buffet weekend on June 6th & 7th was a wonderful success!
Thanks to all who came out to say hello, tour the Antique Machinery Centre, purchase raffle tickets, and enjoy the delicious buffet meal catered by Taylor’s Custom Meats & Catering on Sunday. We enjoyed beautiful weather throughout the weekend, saw many familiar faces, and were even treated to live music by Donna Lee (Donna Lee Tunes).

A big thank you goes out to all of the members and volunteers who gave their time to make this event possible! We’ll see you again for our Fall Open House weekend on September 19th & 20th.
