Gallery 101 Gallery 101 is a not-for-profit artist-run centre committed to exhibiting decolonizing counter-narra Commitment to artists and their work is our first priority.

Located in Ottawa, Ontario, Gallery 101 is a non-profit artist-run centre with charitable status dedicated to the professional presentation of visual and media arts. Each year, we present a stimulating array of solo and group exhibitions of Canadian and international contemporary artists working in all mediums, at all career stages. We also offer services and professional development opportunities to artists, curators, writers and critics.

FINAL DAYS: It's the last couple days to see Asinabka's Animate Energy exhibition at G101!

We're hosting a finissage on Friday, October 16 from 5-7 PM. Come for vegan stew and fry bread, and add your polaroid to the Hide Babes photo wall!

The last day of the exhibition is Saturday, October 17: a Mask Day for our immuno-conscious pals.

We’ll be creating autumn keychains (or pins/brooches)

Kaytlyn will guide you through the process step by step, so no experience is needed. You’ll leave with a finished piece (handmade by you!) and all the skills to keep beading on your own. Whether you’re a first-time beader or looking to deepen your craft, this is a relaxed, supportive space to learn, create, and connect.

Kaytlyn Nadjiwon is a q***r ojibwe beadwork artist in Ottawa. Her work is all about building connection, sharing culture, and celebrating creativity. She designs and creates handmade beadwork pieces, and facilitates private, public, and corporate workshops. Gallery 101 will be open for our regular gallery hours tomorrow - Wednesday, September 30 to honour the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation. We encourage our community members to use your day off to visit initiatives led especially by Indigenous youth around the city, and to stop by G101 take in ’s Animate Engergy: an exhibition of lasting traditions and wisdom through the contemporary lenses of artists Lindsay Aksarniq McIntyre (Inuk), Tyson Houseman (nêhiyaw), Kanina Terry (Anishnaabe), Pōhaikealoha Panoke (Kanaka Maoli), and Hexe Fey (Oglala Lakota/European American).

MASK DAYS: This Saturday September 26, and Saturday October 17

Gallery 101 staff will be masked up for gallery hours, and we invite all visitors to mask up with us.

If you have a medical exemption or would like to choose not to wear a mask, we appreciate you planning your visit for other days. The gallery is open Tuesday-Saturdays from 1:00-5:00 PM until October 17th.

KN-95 masks are recommended and will always be available for free at the front of the gallery. Thanks for helping keep our community safe
