Tuesday Art Tour at The Niche Ottawa Gallery, This week: The works of Kathy Harker-Fiander 🌻

Kathy has been a featured artist and part of our community since 2023, first joining us with Show Sisters. Since then, she has been part of five exhibitions with us, and somehow, her work never ceases to impress me.
There is something so deeply emotive about Kathy’s pieces. They are composed with such grace and depth, often holding tenderness and strength in the same place. They ask you to spend time with them. To look a little longer. There is always more there than what you first see. Kathy takes time to talk with us about what goes into each of her featured works.
One of my favourite parts of having artists with us over many years is getting to witness their work continue to move, change and deepen. Kathy has given us so many of those moments. It is a privilege not only to exhibit her work, but to have her as a lasting part of the community we have built here.
Take a little time with us this Tuesday to look closer at the work of Kathy Harker-Fiander and thank you Kathy for sharing in your creativity.

Oh Captain! Our Captain!

The tables have turned this Friday, and Morgan has found herself in the role of guest on this episode of our chats in the cafe and gallery! Kat, who many of you will recognize by now, has taken up the proverbial torch, and sat down to chat with Morgan about all things Niche Ottawa Gallery and Creative Stir! We thought it vital to this series for you all to get to pull up a metaphorical chair and get to know Morgan, who is the mind and heart behind all that we are here at the cafe and gallery*. While discussing all things community, creativity, art, coffee, pastries, and business, here you can get to know a bit more about Morgan’s background, the intentions and hopes that have built this space, why it is so near and dear to her, and gain insight into The Creative and Community Leader that is our beloved, inspiring Morgan. We hope that it helps you understand the love that is poured into this space, and the work that goes into making it feel like the warm, welcoming home that it is for so many. And maybe wins a laugh or two along the way! 💛☕️🎨
