It’s Tuesday Tour Time, and this week we’re spending it with the wonderful Christina Stapper!
There is always so much joy in sitting down with Christina and getting a glimpse into the thoughtfulness, curiosity, and experimentation behind her work.
With our beautiful new show Nostos at The Niche Ottawa Gallery, we had plenty to talk about around themes of nostalgia and home! From her fantastic explorations of glaze and the delightful new shapes taking form in her pottery, to the meaning of flowers, the feeling of home, and the little details that make a piece feel so personal, we got a beautiful glimpse into the artistic mind of Christina.
One of the things we love most about Christina’s practice is her drive to keep exploring. There is such a wonderful balance between playfulness and intention in her work. Each new form, colour, and surface feels like another opportunity to discover something, while still carrying that unmistakable Christina charm.
And, of course, no Tuesday Art Tour would be complete without a little laughter... or, in this case, a rather fantastic jingle! 🎶
We are so grateful to have Christina as part of our gallery community and to share not only her beautiful creations, but the stories, ideas, and explorations that bring them to life.
