Ghost Tours at Fort George

Ghost Tours at Fort George Enjoy a guided candlelit walking tour through haunted Fort George in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Real stories of encounters with real ghosts. ~90 minutes of storytelling combining the history of the War of 1812 with haunted history of the area. Started in 1994, the Ghost Tour is one of the primary fund raising programs of the Friends of Fort George, the charitable organization that works with Parks Canada to fund and promote historical programming at Fort George. Initially envisioned as a sto

rytelling experience to draw people into the history through the use of the ghost stories, it was never imagined that the ghosts would be so good to us. Since 1994, we have recorded literally hundreds of ghostly encounters during the tour itself. (We can't promise you will experience a ghost, but there certainly aren't many places out there where you would have a better chance). Even without a supernatural experience, the atmosphere of Fort George at night should not be missed, and our tour guides are top notch.

This was without doubt the best ghost tour we have ever done. Our tour guide Megan was a fabulous storyteller teller who absolutely captivated us. Would highly recommend this experience.
