With the water restrictions changing, the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic will reopen tomorrow, September 5, at our regular opening time of 9:30 am.

The Old Fish Factory Restaurant at the museum will be reopening tonight at 6:00 pm for your dining pleasure.

This week’s colour is violet! 💜

We chose this Everson lower breaking-strength sinking rope, with violet-coloured line markings. These types of ropes can be used as part of whale-safe fishing gear to help reduce the risk of entanglement. If a whale does become entangled, the rope is designed to break away, helping the whale free itself.
