Believe it or not, this photo of Victoria Avenue North in Lindsay was taken in 1980, despite featuring a horse-drawn carriage and the train tracks. Also featured is the side of Post Church Envelopes at the corner of Peel Street. On the right side of the photo is a house that was taken down. This is now the Kawartha Lakes Police Services building.
Photo donated to the collection in 2016 by George McCombe.

This photo is of the old Omemee lock-up that was located where the LCBO is currently located. The second photo is enlarged from the bottom-left corner and shows the old Toronto Dominion Bank in the background.
Photo was found in collection, a reproduction that was likely part of the Lindsay Post donation.

Lindsay history buffs might be already familiar with the rounded corner of the old Dominion Bank (located at the south-east corner of Kent and William Streets, currently the TD Bank.) But the second photo depicts a rare view of the William Street side of the old bank.
Photos found in collection, reproductions likely from the Lindsay Post donation.

[Update: This building is in Lindsay. Thanks to Sandra and Sebastien for catching that!]
Today we are looking back in Lindsay (not Woodville!) and the location of Michael J. Engraving with parking for the Bank of Montreal.
Photo was given to our collection from Muriel Copp in 1990.
