We have recently partnered with Stable Harvest Farms.
They have a few of our artifacts on display there and they have generously donated to the Museum. You can see the donation on an earlier video.
This is their May Newsletter. After you've had a tour of the Farm, drop by the BC Farm Museum in Fort Langley to view how the Pioneers lived here in BC

This year I was away for our Spring Clean-up and Pot Luck lunch, so wasn't able to take photos. But checking the computer I just found a folder with these photos. I believe it was Shelly that took them. Thank you Shelly. Here's a short video. Mick

We welcomed close to 50 Holstein Breeders from across Canada to the BC Farm Museum on Friday

It was an absolute pleasure to have them visit and tour our Museum.

They were invited to step back into the era that laid the foundation for BC’s world-class dairy industry. They saw the early tools and machinery used by pioneer settlers of the Fraser Valley, Vancouver Island and Interior. Many of whom were the original stewards of the black-and-white herds that have become the pride of our province and across Canada.

A note close to home:
The Colony Farm Legacy: In the early 1900s, BC’s Historic Colony Farm was considered home to the finest Holstein herd in the world. Their prize-winning genetics provided the foundation stock for nearly every dairy farm in British Columbia and many across Canada.
We hope our visitors made a meaningful connection between the historic milestones of the past and the incredible genetic advancements of today. 🐄🐄🐄

One of the projects, Bob, one of our talented volunteers, has just completed. A complete tear down of the Foo's Jr. Stationary engine. A new piston ring was made in our machine shop, thank you John, and installed for the rebuild. Bob also made the 8 x 8 support platform to allow for a fork lift.
