We’re looking for a community-minded, reliable and responsible artist (potter, jeweler, or other small scale artist) to join our space!

The deal: You cover the gallery 1-2 days per week (Mondays or Saturdays required, Sundays optional) and in exchange, you get studio access during your shift, a pottery wheel if needed, and a bright creative space in Ladysmith.

This one’s for the Potters!

Got some clay experience under your belt and ready to level up your slab work? Join us on July 16 for an observational workshop with Sandy Harquail!

During this 2.5 hour workshop, Sandy will build one of her signature forms from start to finish, walking participants through her entire process from pattern layout and cutting, to forming and refining the final structure.

This is a watch-and-learn format, designed to give you a front row seat to an experienced artists process. Bring a notebook, ask questions, and walk away with insights you can bring back to your own practice.

This gorgeous piece by Tony Grove is off to its forever home 🥹 the couple who purchased it were captivated by its ability to draw the viewer and really ground you in the scene. We’ll certainly miss this beautiful work in the gallery but are so excited for the new owners and looking forward to seeing some new work from Tony!

We’re so thrilled to be welcoming Katie Ford to the gallery! Katie spends her time on Salt Spring Island forging carbon steel, bronze, and copper into astounding ocean inspired sculptures.

Katie had a unique upbringing. As the daughter of a whale biologist, much of her upbringing was spent aboard a family research vessel in the waters off northern Vancouver Island. This experience instilled in her a deep reverence for the natural world and a lasting commitment to ocean conservation.

“My work centres on the quiet tension between fragility and endurance - the elegance of nature, and it’s relentless ability to adapt and survive in the wake of human impact”
