It's the end of an era.
I met Peter 20 years ago when I was introduced to the wonderful world of trusses when I was hired as a driver for All Fab. Peter didn't give me the time of day. To him I was just another driver that would come along for a good time and not a long time. He was right. I lasted a year there. I guess he knew something that I didn't at the time. 😁
Fast forward a few years and, as fate would have it, we would have the opportunity to work together again. He came to work with Crane Guys and, naturally, was an immediate asset to our little company. He brought with him a wealth of knowledge and experience. Pete's dedication to his trade and our clients is second to none. He is much more than a operator. He is an ambassador, a colleague, a friend, a gentleman, a leader.
There were countless lifts where Peter went above and beyond to get the task done and keep the customer happy. When a client would call about a tricky situation and they weren't sure if the lift they needed done was even possible, I could always say with confidence, "If it can be done, Peter is the guy do it." Not once did he ever let me down. Not once.
With over 35 years of craning trusses (and some other stuff) he has completed every job, literally tens of thousands, with professionalism and safety in mind. He has earned the respect of our customers, his co-workers, our competitors, our community.
We wish Pete all the best for what the future brings.
Peter, you will be missed immensely and we thank you for all you have done for us and the person you are.
We at Crane Guys are very honoured you shared your time with us and proud of what you have helped us accomplish.
