I just want to take a moment to thank all of our amazing volunteers, members, visitors, and supporters for continuing to stand behind the museum. ❤️

Small community museums like ours truly survive because of community support. Memberships, donations, admissions, and government grants all work together to help us keep our doors open, preserve local history, and continue creating exhibits and programs for everyone to enjoy.

One thing we’re very proud of is that we’ve always tried our best to operate without constantly asking the community for money. We work hard, apply for grants, stretch every dollar, and do everything we can behind the scenes to keep things going. But with recent provincial funding cuts affecting museums across New Brunswick, support from our community matters now more than ever.

Museum memberships are:
• $25 for individuals
• $30 for families

Memberships include:
✔ Unlimited research assistance
✔ Our museum newsletter
✔ Supporting local history and preservation right here in Kings County

Looking for another way to support the museum? We also sell a variety of books about local history, genealogy, and Kings County's past. Many of these publications are listed on our website and make wonderful resources for history lovers, researchers, and anyone interested in our community's stories.

We’d also love to invite everyone to come see our brand new Home & Hearth exhibit featuring the beautiful Clover Hill Dollhouse as the centerpiece! Officially opening June 23rd 🏡✨

Admission is by donation — whatever you feel comfortable contributing. Every visit, membership, donation, and book purchase helps support the museum and helps ensure we can continue preserving and sharing local history for future generations.

From all of us at the museum, thank you for your continued support. We couldn't do it without you. ❤️

Unfortunately, due to no water service to the building, the museum will be closed tomorrow. We’re so sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate everyone’s understanding while this issue is being dealt with.

We hope to reopen as soon as possible and will keep everyone updated. Thank you for your patience! 💙

Stories like this remind us just how important local history preservation truly is ❤️

Protecting places connected to the people who came before us ensures their stories, cultures, and histories are not forgotten. Museums and historical societies play such an important role in preserving these connections for future generations.

Wonderful to see this important site in Cap Bimet being protected.

A historical society has purchased land in rural New Brunswick that's home to the unmarked graves of Acadian and Mi'kmaw people dating back to the 1700s.
