KATHY HOOPER - TWO DAYS IN JUNE
Spectacular Studio Sale Celebrates An Amazing Artistic Career
Since moving to Canada from South Africa in the 1960s Kathy Hooper has had an enormous
impact upon the New Brunswick artistic community. She has created thousands of artworks,
many now in important public and private collections. She has inspired and championed many
younger artists within the region. She was awarded both the Strathbutler and the Lieutenant
Governor’s Award for her work in art. Her art was the subject of a major retrospective exhibition,
Mountains of Wonder and Tangles of Truth, in 2023-24 (Saint John Arts Centre, Beaverbrook
Art Gallery, Andrew and Laura McCain Gallery). The exhibition was accompanied by a
documentary film, Mountains of Wonder.
Now, after an artistic career that has spanned six decades, Kathy invites you to this incredible
studio sale, featuring hundreds of paintings, drawings, prints and sculpture, many never
exhibited before and many from Kathy’s personal collection.
This exhibition and sale will take place over a two day period at Hooper Studios, with very
special pricing during this event only.
