The North Head Campground & Park closes the 2026 season September 20. We appreciate and thank the happy campers and the interested hikers who visited Hole in the Wall and the magnificent cliffs.
A significant change this year was no entry fee to the Park trails. Early visitors expressed and offered ‘a donation’ as a thank you for the experience.
A large portion of the hiking trail and the Bull’s Eddy Observation deck focus on Swallowtail. So signage, maps, and a locked ‘strong box’ was well positioned to encourage donations for the Swallowtail Keepers Society.
As the attached picture indicates, MJ Edwards, secretary to the Society, received a donation of more than $3000.00 from happy and receptive visitors to our campground and trails.
The willing response to donate was, we sensed, a positive response to their Grand Manan visit as a whole.
