ACAM is home to 20+ aircraft, 3 simulators & hundreds of artifacts. The museum also showcases engines, uniforms, weapons, artwork and aviation memorabilia.

Dedicated to the preservation of Canada’s rich civilian & military aviation history, the Atlantic Canada Aviation Museum (ACAM) has the most comprehensive collection east of Ottawa. The museum is home to more than 20

aircraft and 2 simulators, including a full-size replica of the first aircraft to fly in Canada - the Silver Dart, the oldest home-built in Nova Scotia, a CF-101 Voodoo and a Grumman Avenger to name just a few. There is a wide range of exhibits, including the Halifax Municipal Airport formerly on Chebucto Road, local aviation pioneers such as Orville Pulsifer and Bill Orr, and the 434 “City of Halifax” Squadron. The museum is a completely volunteer run non-profit organization. Any funds raised are turned back into the growth and further development of the museum. Membership at the museum is not limited to pilots and aircrew; many members have only one common bond - the love of aviation. Volunteers welcomed - come on down to the lower hanger on Saturdays to see us; all skill levels welcome.

Today is the LAST day of our summer hours! We had a great summer season with lots of enthusiastic visitors and three successful summer events. Starting tomorrow, August 29th, our hours will be reduced. The Museum will be open 10am-4pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays for all of September and October. Come stop by! ✈✈✈
