Waverley Heritage Museum A community museum sharing stories of the village of Waverley, Nova Scotia John's Anglican Church. The building is a heritage property, built in 1862.

The Waverley Heritage Museum is a small, seasonal museum and archive housed in the former St. We offer general tours, school programming, genealogical resources, prints of historic photos, special presentations and classes, and so much more! Please visit our website for more details.

Thank you to all who joined our Museum Mingle yesterday! We had a wonderful time learning about different cultural celebrations from around the world! We decorated cookies, made flower crowns, lanterns, coloured a beautiful community rangoli and wrote down things we can do for our community and hung them on our giving tree! 🎅🕍🪔🎎

OOPS-A kind person identified an error in the image I created for this post. Waverley is actually located at exit 5 off Hwy 102.

Fun Fact Friday-Did you know that a little over a decade ago, a young couple from Ontario were traveling through the Maritimes and happened to see the Waverley Nova Scotia sign and the wife said, 'that would be a lovely name for a little girl' ?

They then had a boy, then another boy, and another until finally they had a girl whom they named Waverley.

They visited our museum and were fascinated by the history of the area, took pictures of everything with her name on it.
