👯Creative Girls Club: An after school art club for girls ages 8-11years old. Participants will create art using a variety of materials that will focus on confidence and friendship building.
🎭Intro to Drama: Explore the world of puppet making with artist Bethany Dittmann. Create and build your own hand puppet and learn how to use them in dramatic play.
🏫PD Day Art Camp: The perfect way for kids to spend an afternoon off from school. Participants will create fun art projects, play games and make new friends!

to last week's Nature Camp with Bethany Dittmann! Campers spent the week making art in and around the Binzebo in Woodlawn Regional Park. Bethany had them creating art inspired by nature and using natural materials in their artmaking.

A huge thank you to Bethany for leading these camps and to Woodlawn Regional Park for providing us the space. Great teachers and partners make arts programs like these possible!

It was another wonderful summer of art camps at the EAGM! We are ready for fall programming you can check out the kid's classes we have happening next month on our page tomorrow!

✨💡Fun Fact Friday!

Did you know that a painting by Claude Monet gave the Impressionist movement it's name? 'Impression, Sunrise' painted by Monet in 1872 depicted a hazy view of the port of Le Havre, his hometown.

Impressionism was a 19th-century art movement characterized by visible brush strokes, open composition, emphasis on accurate depiction of light in its changing qualities, ordinary subject matter, unusual visual angles, and inclusion of movement as a crucial element of human perception and experience. Impressionism originated with a group of Paris-based artists whose independent exhibitions brought them to prominence during the 1870s and 1880s.
