The Rainbow Bridge 🌈

There is a bridge to heaven
That is brightly coloured
It is called the rainbow bridge
Only beautiful souls get to walk over it
Beams of light guide their path
Sometimes we wonder why such beautiful souls get called to leave their earthly home
Why they are called to travel over the rainbow bridge
To grow their wings like angels
To the other side of the rainbow they have now flown
There are fluffy clouds that act like pillows
The other side of the bridge
So our pets can lie on them and look down
To watch over their loved ones
To make sure they are okay
As they were called and could not stay
Our furry loved ones never really leave us
They haven’t gone too far
They have just gone over the rainbow bridge before us
Then watch us from afar
One day when it is our turn to walk it
We will see again their face
Our dearly loved pets will wait outside for us
In front of heavens gate
Until that day comes be sure to know
They will show us little signs to say
Look I’m not far away
It won’t be forever
Look out for I will send down for you
A gift from one of my wings
A feather
I will send it to float down for you
Let it comfort you when you cry
I am at peace now
In my new home in the sky
So until it is your turn to walk over the rainbow bridge
Keep me close in your heart
