Imagine a soldier far from home, lying in a barracks bunk, looking up at a painting of a quiet Canadian lake, and feeling proud to serve.

During WWII, Canadian artists, led by Group of Seven members A.J. Casson and A.Y. Jackson, provided art of iconic Canadian scenes.

These works were reproduced as hand-crafted oil silkscreens, requiring up to 400 hours per image.

Now you can see them in person!

A Canadian Legacy: Art for War and Peace is showing from October 23rd to April 10th, 2027. Admission by donation.
