Acadian Historical Village The Acadian Historical Village is a tourism complex built around a 2.2 km circuit bordered with hist Prenez le temps de vivre cette expérience unique.

The Village historique acadien recalls the life of our Acadian ancestors from 1770 to 1949. Close to 60 historic buildings, occupied and animated by interpreters in period costumes, give an impression of going back in time, of a brief travel through history. Each of the inhabitants has a story to tell, a craft or custom to bring to life. Take the time to savour this unique experience.

Congratulations to Kevin Robichaud from the Atelier la Rencontre, the grand prize winner of our colouring contest, which ended on May 20!

Kevin won a Village 2026 Gold Season Pass, as well as a beautiful colouring book by artist Pletz Kreativ, featuring hand-drawn images and scenes from the Acadian Historical Village.

✨ With great joy and excitement, the Acadian Historical Village team presented the Défricheurs d’eau 2025 Awards last week in front of all Village employees gathered for their 2026 season prep meeting.

The recipients are:

· Michel A. Godin Award: Anna Savoie 🏅
This award recognizes an employee who demonstrates exceptional dedication to the Acadian Historical Village through their work.

· Ambassador Award: Jules Boudreau 🏅
This award highlights an individual’s ongoing efforts to promote the Village in a variety of ways.

· Interpretation Quality and Authenticity Award: Rolande Doiron 🏅
This award is presented to an interpreter who strongly values the essence of history and stands out for the quality and authenticity of their interpretation.

· Tribute Award: Louise Lagacé 🏅
This award is presented to a former employee in recognition of their exemplary contributions to the Acadian Historical Village and their role in its development and visibility.

· Team Spirit Award: Pierre Gallien 🏅
This award recognizes an employee for their positive influence on colleagues, their workplace, and their spirit of solidarity.

· People’s Choice Award: Richard Sisk 🏅
This award is presented to an employee who stood out among the group during the summer season.
