Acadian Historical Village The Acadian Historical Village is a tourism complex built around a 2.2 km circuit bordered with hist Prenez le temps de vivre cette expérience unique.

The Village historique acadien recalls the life of our Acadian ancestors from 1770 to 1949. Close to 60 historic buildings, occupied and animated by interpreters in period costumes, give an impression of going back in time, of a brief travel through history. Each of the inhabitants has a story to tell, a craft or custom to bring to life. Take the time to savour this unique experience.

The purpose of the milling bee is to shrunk homespun cloth to make them thicker. After being washed, rinsed, wrung out and dried, the fabrics were ready to be made into warm, durable clothing.

On Sunday, August 2, and Monday, August 3, we’ll have the pleasure of welcoming Rachel Pletz from Pletz Kreativ to the Village! 🎨✏️

R. Pletz is a visual storyteller based in Shediac River, New Brunswick. Through ink drawings and colouring books, she explores the people, places, and traditions that shape our shared heritage. During her visit to the Acadian Historical Village, she will be sharing a collection of heritage-inspired sketches and locally illustrated colouring books, inviting visitors to experience familiar places through a new lens.

Stop by and check out her creations at the Visitors Centre on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and on Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.!

After lengthy deliberations with Kate (pictured below🐴), the chief judge of the colouring contest, we’ve selected the winning drawing!

🎉Congratulations to the Centre éducatif les Farfeloups, in St-Quentin!🎉

The lucky winners will receive a 2026 GOLD season pass for the Village, as well as a copy of the colouring book inspired by the Village (by Pletz Kreativ ).
