Located in Diamond Valley (formerly Black Diamond) Alberta near the Foothills of Kananaskis, Calgary and the Rocky Mountains, the Bluerock Gallery is a beloved attraction for tourists and locals alike. We represent nearly 200 regional fine artists and craftspeople. We specialize in high quality products of all sizes and prices including paintings, drawings, sculptures, hand blown glass, textiles, and ceramic art as well as unique cards and books, baskets, pottery and accessories: jewellery, scarves, clothing, and much more. We also provide complimentary gift wrapping and host various events such as PopUp Markets, Artist Receptions, Artist demos and workshops. Today's post is pure appreciation for the marvellous folks at Inhabit Media - the Inuit-owned independent publishing company based in Iqaluit.

It's not only that they collaborate with elders and storytellers to preserve and celebrate Inuit oral history - it's that their books are SO FREAKING BEAUTIFUL.

There are many of these mamas and babies around right now - and they're so sweet that we've *mostly* forgiven them for feasting so lavishly on our planters this summer. MOSTLY.
(Note to selves: the creeping jenny lasted about a week. Petunias longer, but they must have been tasty because they did get eaten. Dahlias, untouched: must be the liver and onions of the world of annuals, if you're inclined to dine on flower boxes.)
