Since 2015, THE PLACE FOR ART has assisted many families with the framing of treasured photographs for funerals, memorial services and Homegoing Celebrations.
The photographs entrusted to us come in many different sizes, formats and conditions. Each one represents a life, a relationship and memories that are important to the family. During the framing consultation, careful consideration is given to the photograph, its proportions, colours and presentation so that the finished piece is appropriate for the service while also becoming a lasting remembrance that can be displayed in the family home afterward.
Andrew Ash, one of The Bahamas' most experienced custom framers, has prepared many photographs for families during times of bereavement. After so many years of doing this work for others, he never imagined that one of the photographs he would be called upon to frame would be that of his own older brother, William.
