A conversation around Conditions of Appearance.

In this new video, Florian Araïb, founder of SEPT, introduces Conditions of Appearance, the inaugural exhibition of the gallery’s newest space at Kustlaan 31 in Knokke.

Bringing together a diverse group of international contemporary artists, the exhibition explores how form, color, material and perception come into being. Across painting and sculpture, the works reveal different approaches to abstraction, presence and spatial experience.

A conversation around Zheng Lu’s - Sky Sand See.

In this new video, Director Arthur Beaude reflects on the artist’s first solo exhibition at the gallery - exploring its material language, spatial presence and conceptual depth.

Set in dialogue with the coastal landscape of Knokke, the exhibition echoes shifting skies, moving winds, sand, and the force of the North Sea - translated into sculptural forms that engage with light, space, and perception.

Zheng Lu (b. 1978, Inner Mongolia) lives and works in Beijing.
His work has been exhibited internationally, including at MOCA Taipei, Long Museum Shanghai, and Asia Society Texas.

Working primarily in stainless steel, he creates dynamic, gravity-defying sculptures that capture the movement of water - merging calligraphic tradition with contemporary form.
