A wonderful start to our new exhibitions!

New publication: Togetherness by Max Pinckers.

“I have never taken a photograph alone.”

In his new photobook Togetherness, Max Pinckers explores photography as a shared experience. Moving between documentary and imagination, his images capture moments of connection, complicity and the relationships that exist on both sides of the camera.

Published as the sixth issue of the Note Note Collection, in a limited edition of 850 copies.

And there's more! Max will be signing copies at Paris Photo on Friday, 13 November, from 5–6:30 pm. Everyone is welcome!

Opened 10 October: Op het eerste gezicht – Portretkunst uit heden en verleden.

We are pleased to share that work by Folkert de Jong will be part of this group exhibition, bringing together portraits from different periods and perspectives.

From historical portraiture to contemporary interpretations, the exhibition explores the many ways in which artists have portrayed people and how our way of looking at the portrait continues to change.

Born on this day in 1940, Bernd Lohaus.

Today, we remember the German-born artist who made Antwerp his home and whose practice explored the relationship between material, language, space and human connection.

In his work, objects and fragments become a form of dialogue, never fixed, always leaving space for another interpretation.

Today, on what would have been his 86th birthday, we honour Bernd Lohaus and his enduring practice.
