Pothe Pothe Cinema: Cinema On The Go

Hey!

We, from Dwip Gallery, are incredibly excited to share something we’ve been quietly building behind the scenes.

We believe cinema isn’t something just for watching, it should be lived, shared, and questioned. Thus, we are starting Pothe Pothe Cinema, a moving screening initiative designed to be a space that is both safe and intimate.

We imagine this to be a place where we can drop our guards and involve ourselves in the adda, and we’ll of course have film to circle back to.

With this specific installation of Pothe Pothe Cinema, we want to showcase some select films of Molla Sagar. All of you are cordially invited to join us this weekend!

Place: Dwip Gallery, 1/1, Block D, Lalmatia, Ground floor, Dhaka 1207.

কিউরেটিং দ্য কিউরেটরস' কিউরেশনকে কেবল প্রদর্শনী আয়োজনের একটি দক্ষতা হিসেবে নয়, বরং একটি সাংস্কৃতিক, সম্পর্কভিত্তিক, রাজনৈতিক ও সমালোচনামূলক চর্চা হিসেবে বিবেচনা করে। এই চর্চা নির্ধারণ করে কোন ধারণা, ইতিহাস ও জনগোষ্ঠী জনপরিসরে দৃশ্যমান হয়ে ওঠে।

এই সম্পূর্ণ অর্থায়নপ্রাপ্ত দুই সপ্তাহের রেসিডেন্সি একত্রে শেখা ও জ্ঞান নির্মাণের ভিত্তিতে গড়ে উঠেছে। আমন্ত্রিত কিউরেটর, শিল্পী, গবেষক ও অন্যান্য পেশাজীবীদের পাশাপাশি অংশগ্রহণকারীরাও তাঁদের অভিজ্ঞতা, প্রশ্ন ও কর্মপদ্ধতি ভাগ করে নেবেন।

নাটোরে আয়োজিত এই রেসিডেন্সিতে সংলাপ, কর্মশালা, স্টুডিও ও আর্টস্পেস ভিজিট এবং সমালোচনামূলক আলোচনার মাধ্যমে আমরা অন্বেষণ করব কীভাবে কিউরেটোরিয়াল চর্চা জ্ঞান সৃষ্টি করে, ক্ষমতার কাঠামোকে প্রশ্নবিদ্ধ করে এবং বিকল্প ভবিষ্যতের কল্পনা নির্মাণ করে।

Cordially inviting you to share the space with us at "Roop-Aroop-Aparoop" - an art exhibition by Kazi Mrinal at Dwip Gallery. The opening ceremony will be graced by writer and novelist Hasnat Abdul Hey and artist Salauddin Ahmed.

Roop-Aroop-Aparoop will be open for all from July 10, 6:30 pm at 1/1, Block D, Lalmatia, Dhaka till July 23, everyday between 4-9 except Mondays.

Curating the Curators is a residency designed as a contextual, critical, cultural, relational, and political methodology for ushering the entry of ideas, histories, and communities into the public sphere.

The project is co-designed as a collaborative environment for co-learning, founded on the principle that knowledge can be a product of the collective rather than a unidirectional transmission. While the program features contributions from invited practitioners, curators, artists, and researchers who serve as facilitators, participants are also expected to be active contributors.

এই প্রকল্পটি সহ-শিক্ষার জন্য একটি সহযোগিতামূলক পরিবেশ হিসেবে যৌথভাবে পরিকল্পিত, যা এই নীতির উপর প্রতিষ্ঠিত যে জ্ঞান একমুখী সঞ্চালনের পরিবর্তে সমষ্টির ফসল হতে পারে। যদিও এই কার্যক্রমে আমন্ত্রিত পেশাদার, কিউরেটর, শিল্পী এবং গবেষকরা সহায়ক হিসেবে অবদান রাখবেন, অংশগ্রহণকারীদেরও সক্রিয় অবদানকারী হিসেবে ভূমিকা পালন করতে হবে।
