Join Libby in her unique homage to our local bird life by preparing and printing a reduction linocut.
The reduction printing method uses a multi-color relief printing technique using a single block, cut and printed in progressive stages. At each step there will be carving, colouring and printing, using a range of colours from the lightest to the darkest. Having observed the detail, texture, and character of your own chosen bird subject you will gradually reveal its beauty in print through this repeat “reduction method".
Libby has been a printmaker and teacher for 25 years. She is now living in North East Victoria and is known primarily for her linocut prints that often depict native or domestic animals with a whimsical or narrative twist. Libby has exhibited her work widely in the region, NSW and Victoria.
Enquiries can be emailed to Creators Artspace.
No experience required. Max 8.
Bookings can be made online at creatorsartspace.com.au/workshops
Location: Gateway Village , 44 – 46 Lincoln Causeway, Wodonga VIC 3691.

Using your own drawings or photos you will create beautiful designs printing on photopolymer plates. These plates utilise ultra-violet light - sunshine - or a light source to transform your drawings or mark making into a print experience you will find thrilling in effect.

The image is exposed onto a photopolymer plate in sunlight or using a UV exposure unit. The prepared plate is then printed onto dampened paper to produce a beautiful individual print or layer. Each student will make 1 or 2 x A5 prints plus test plates.
