Winter is here and you need to find a perfect piece for someone special..

Our local 'Trevor Jones' finds turning wood very rewarding and satisfying as he watches the wood reveal its beautiful grain patterns and figures evolve. The wood seems to determine how it is to be shaped and almost always a variation of what he thought it could be when he started the piece.

Call it Recycling repurposing or whatever you like, trees are much more than firewood and every piece saved from the wood heap has to be environmentally positive.

" A Chance to re-sell your quality Artworks" at the gallery.

The Victor Harbor Regional Gallery will be holding another annual resale of art works during the months of June and July 2026.

A members only art co-operative, we offer to try & re-sell art work owned by the general public once a year. Often these are beautiful historic works purchased at past Rotary Art Shows etc.

Two original quality art works per person, can be delivered daily 11am - 3pm as from 31st May. (prints or photographs will not be accepted.)

Although there is no guarantee that works will be sold, the Gallery will do its best at selling brought in works which will be displayed at the discretion of the Curating Team.

A fee of $10 per art work will be charged and a 33.3% commission. This goes towards the running of this self funded gallery..

Our creative local artist 'Wendy Jennings' loves to paint Australian wildlife.
Wendy in the last 10 years has spent up to 6 weeks a year teaching painting or lecturing on Australian wildlife and art mostly on Viking Cruise ships between New Zealand Indonesia.
She still teaches nature painting annually at the Birds Australia Gluepot Reserve north of Waikerie, at home and in the Chiton Retirement Village.
You can enjoy and see Wendy's work within the gallery spaces.

Time to see some beautiful artworks from our longest serving artist and member at the gallery.

Annette Vandenberg was originally from Amsterdam and as a young girl was taught art at a very young age in school. Such a lovely and talented lady she makes and creates children's clothes, cushions, knitted items and also her special honey available in the old bakery here.

Annette loves to work on flowers, landscapes and portraits. Drop in and you might just find the perfect "Mothers Day" gift.

"Nette Anderson" ARTIST OF THE MONTH with her amazing exhibition in the gallery.

Working as a floral arranger allowed Nette to express beauty, colour and the form of flowers. Regular trips to the coastal town of Robe and back to the Far West Coast continued to inspire her, with the coastal scenery, arid bushlands, local artists and materials she collected along the way.

Her artistic practice expanded exploring art using a variety of mediums and after moving to the South Coast, the region's natural beauty became a strong influence in her work. Experimenting with dried natural materials, recycled materials, and wood, my art focuses on using sustainable art practices, recycled materials and natural elements. Weaving with grasses and palms, giving new life to weathered coastal finds, and create shell art, all of which bring her joy.

We welcome you to visit our gallery and see Nette's amazing work.

"Jessica James is a coloured pencil artist" and here is her story.....

I create highly detailed portraits of animals that celebrate their individuality, emotional presence, expressions and quiet ntelligence. My work is grounded in close observation and slow, layered mark-making, allowing each piece to develop depth, texture, detail and quiet intimacy.

Animals have always been central to my life, and that connection guides my drawing to the expressions, personalities, and stories held in their eyes, and I aim to capture more than a likeness. I want viewers to feel the character and spirit of the animal in front of them.

I have always loved coloured pencils. Working with them gives me the precision and softness needed to build life like fur, feathers and fine detail.
