Children of our community have entered their art work for the 'PEACE ON EARTH" Art Exhibition Showing and it is proudly displayed for for all to see.
It is a wonderful community event for our children & families where they can visit the gallery to see their wonderful contributions about what peace on earth means to them.

If you haven't had a chance to do it at school or home, come in and sit with your friends to create your own special art.. Ages 5-16

Artist of the Month – “ Jill Watson"

Jill has her gorgeous and colourful clay pieces on display for the month of September for all to enjoy. We won't show all her pieces right now, so come in and have a look..

Jill's story -

After retiring, I wanted to explore my creative side and came across the medium of Polymer Clay. I purchased a few books and proceeded to clay play. I have had so much fun, experimenting, creating and it has not always been a success, but my motivation to create something different, found me attending an International Polymer Clay Conference/Workshops in Fremantle, Western Australia. Our Tutors were from Europe, U.S.A and Australia. I found myself caught up in another world of Creativity and the horizons were endless. I came back to Encounter Bay bursting with ideas and new techniques and even to this day I am still learning. I still have contact with my International Tutors and participate in their on-line workshops.

The Victor Harbor Regional Gallery is run by a cooperative of local artists located in the old historic bakery building, with the original oven on display.

WATCH THIS SPACE...

Children who entered their work for the 'PEACE ON EARTH" Art Exhibition will have their work displayed in September. It is a wonderful community event for our children & families where they can visit the gallery to see their wonderful contributions.

"Peace in Our World - Children’s Art Display"

Children from the ages 5-16 are invited to join our gallery by using an A4 piece of art paper, create an image of peace in our world. It needs to be your own work, created by your hands, not by using a computer.

Create an image of what peace may look like to you. It may contain people of different cultures, or animals, or beautiful scenery. Your teacher may show you some examples. Somewhere on your artwork, you need to have the words “May Peace Prevail on Earth”.
The images will be displayed at the Victor Harbor Regional Art Gallery, Railway Terrace, Victor Harbor, during September 2026.

You and your friends can visit the exhibition. The display will help others see the beauty and love in our world. It will help focus their lives on peace and caring for others.

'Submit' your work to either your school, or the Victor Harbor Regional Art Gallery, by Friday 21st August 2026.
ENTRY FORM 'In comments'

On Monday Sept 21st, we will celebrate the International Day of Peace at 11am, at the Peace Pole in Warland Reserve in Victor Harbor. Some of the artwork will be on display at this event.
We all need peace and love in our lives. This can be achieved by caring for ourselves and others, no matter what their colour, religion or culture they come from. Care for animals and our environment is also important.
