A good old fashioned second hand book sale…with a HUGE range of really good quality books…at Toogoolawah’s Annual Market TOMORROW!

Toogoolawah History Group’s Kathleen Daniel is hosting the market stall with all proceeds going to the History Group.
Look out for Kathleen in the red tent along the rail trail.

Explore History and the RSL at the same time! This Saturday…

Step back in time while visiting The Toogoolawah Annual Town Celebration 0f 2026.

Walk on up the Returned Services Sub-Branch in Cairnscroft Street (one block from the main street) and go back in time to the original Roxy Silent Movie picture Cinema.

Built around 1924, she is much the same and when she was build. The local RSL members brought her in 1949 after the Second World War for the high sum of Eight Hundred Pounds, a lot in those days. On display inside there is plenty of Military history on display. The members will be happy to talk your head off showing you around and tell many stories of her history, one example will the way the Americans roller skated inside during World War 2.

Devonshire tea (and coffee) as well as cold drinks will be available - alcohol on sale at the right time

The Toogoolawah Annual Market is looking like the place to be this Saturday 5 September. With over 55 stalls booked and an avenue of foodies, you will be spoiled for choice. While you're here take the time to check out desitinations on the day - Toogoolawah & District History Museum, Somerset Model Railway Group, Toogoolawah RSL Sub Branch, St Andrews Anglican Church, Toogoolawah, Two Galahs Gallery Toogoolawah, Toogoolawah Pictures - Alexandra Hall, The Condensery Somerset Regional Art Gallery and don't forget to catch Six a Side Cricket at McConnel Park.

Our Annual Market Day on Saturday 5 September 2026 is supported by terrific installations and ‘open venues’ around town. Our wonderful contemporary art gallery,housed in one of the original Nestles Condensed Milk Factory buildings, offers free entry and guided tours at 10.30am and 11.30am on the Saturday morning.

Explore the gallery’s current exhibitions alongside the history of this unique building and its origins as the former Nestlé condensed milk factory. Discover the artists, ideas and stories behind the exhibition artworks while learning more about the site’s important place in Toogoolawah’s history.
