Presented in The Condensery’s Bomb Shelter, ‘Unturned’ uses the stone as motif to explore our relationship with the natural world,

Artist Hannah Stanton carefully mimics the textures and imperfections of stones observed on daily walks, creating sculptural ceramic pieces to form an immersive installation.

‘Unturned’ invites viewers to slow down, look closely, and reconnect with the beauty of small and ordinary objects.

‘Unturned’ is now on display until 12 July 2026.

‘Earthen form’ profiles the works of contemporary Somerset
ceramicists who have taken inspiration from the natural colours and forms of region. The featured works reflect the ongoing relationship between the environment, materials and community.

This regional project also brings together ‘Shifting Ground’ artists and Toogoolawah State High School students. Students explored themes of place through hands-on ceramic making with guidance from ‘Shifting Ground’ curator Larissa Warren and artist Ulrica Trulson. Outcomes from these sessions are proudly on display as part of ‘Earthen form’.

Visit during our opening hours from 10am to 4pm, Wed to Sunday.

Celebrate the opening of
‘Shifting Ground’ at The Condensery! ✨

Join us from 5 - 7pm tonight for the opening of our three new exhibitions, 'Shifting Ground', ‘Earthen form’, and 'Unturned'.

Hear from ‘Shifting Ground’ artist and curator Larissa Warren who will discuss the different approaches to contemporary ceramic production seen in the exhibition.

'Shifting Ground ' is a celebratory exhibition that explores how clay, as both material and metaphor, can carry stories across time, connecting past makers with present-day artists. By sharing locally sourced clays, material research, and community stories, this project invites reflection on resilience, place-based practice, and the unseen labour of creative women in regional Australia.

Exhibitions on display from 2 May – 12 July 2026
