Our In My Garden theme began as a nod to Joy Stacey, Helen Stacey's mother, who loved gardening and left enough money to Stationmaster's Art Gallery to fund our first Art Prize.
Joy loved gardening and her daughter, who is a long time member of Stationmasters Art Gallery.

Rain or shine, we are still opening! 🎨

It might be raining tomorrow, but that won’t dampen our spirits! Our Drift SALA Exhibition Opening is going ahead as planned, with a warm welcome, friendly faces and plenty of great art to enjoy. 💛

A big thank you to Phil, who is providing a pavilion tent so we can shelter from the rain and still enjoy the occasion together.

So grab your umbrella, rug up and come along — we would love to see you! ☔️😊

Meet Sue Miller - Councillor - Alexandrina Council who is Opening our SALA exhibition this Sunday 9th of August at 11.00.

Sue has been an Alexandrina Council elected member since November 2022 drawing on her 30-year career in risk and governance. She has lived on a farm just out of Strathalbyn with her husband and sons for the past 22 years where they crop, run sheep and have a small vineyard. Sue believes in grass roots, representative decision making that delivers public value, equity and access to quality services, programs and infrastructure, preserves our beautiful environment and respects history and culture.



During her time on Council Sue has raised awareness and interest in council business, championed transparency, and focussed on community infrastructure, financial sustainability and increasing attention on our rural roads and networks, and smaller townships.



Sue loves the depth of the skills and talents of volunteers and appreciates how a thriving social, arts and culture community enhances liveability, wellbeing and connectivity.



A fun fact: Sue was born in an ambulance about 9 miles out of Clare on the way to Adelaide from the family farm at Dawson!
