Please note that the Kentish Museum will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Saturday (2026) as our volunteers take a well-earned Easter break. We’ll be back to our normal trading days from Wednesday, 8 April - ready to welcome you again to explore local stories, history, and heritage right in the heart of Sheffield.

To welcome the increased visitors travelling through Sheffield for the National Rowing Championships, Kentish Museum will be extending its opening hours for one week only.

📅 Wednesday 25 March – Saturday 28 March
🕙 10:00am - 3:00pm daily

Behind the doors of a quietly reopened building on Main Street, Sheffield, something special is unfolding. It’s been one month since the Kentish Museum welcomed visitors back and inside a passionate team is ready to guide you through tales that shaped Sheffield. Stories layered with grit, charm, and surprises… lovingly restored and waiting to be rediscovered.
Not everything reveals itself at first glance. Some places ask you to slow down, lean in, and listen. This is one of them.
