A little behind the scenes peek at the Morisset Show! 🎨🤪

Got a few snaps and quick clips while helping out behind the scenes… mostly using my HEIGHT hehehehe 😂🙋‍♀️ Someone had to reach all those tricky spots!

Labelling artwork, making sure all the paper mask artworks were secured and weren’t about to take flight in the wind 🤣 The glamorous life of an artist, right?!

BUT honestly, one of the BEST parts was spotting some of my students’ artwork up there! 🥹Seeing their names displayed alongside their creations makes my heart so happy. There’s something pretty special about watching these little (and not so little) artists put themselves out there and have their work seen by the community.

So proud of them! 🥰🎨🌈

POV: You’re running a mobile art workshop tomorrow…

So begins the packing.

I have a list.
I have checked the list.
I have checked the list again.

But somehow my brain is still going…

“DO WE HAVE ENOUGH PAINT?!”

“What if I forgot something?”

“Did I pack THAT?”

“Wait… what about THIS?!”

“OMG. THE BRUSHES.”

And then I end up with a box that looks like I’m moving house, not taking an upside-down ice cream workshop on the road.

Mobile workshops are exciting… but the packing anxiety is REAL. 😂

Tomorrow’s box is officially packed for the Upside-Down Ice Cream Workshop.

Now to try very hard not to unpack it 17 times just to check everything is actually in there. 🤣

🎨 TERM 4 STARTS TOMORROW!! 🤩🌈

What a HUGE school holidays it’s been! Between our holiday art workshops, getting creative in the studio and watching so many of our young artists prepare their amazing artworks for the Morisset Show, we’ve certainly been busy! 🎨🙌

I can’t wait to welcome back our familiar faces and meet some new little (and not so little 😉) creatives for Term 4 at Terese Hudson Art!

I’ve got SO many exciting lesson plans up my sleeve and I’m ready to finish the year with a bang! Think messy hands, big imaginations, trying new techniques and creating some seriously cool artworks. 🖌️✨

🎨 THE MORISSET SHOW IS COMING! 🎨

And of course… I had to throw a couple of my own artworks into the mix!

I’ll be entering Two of a Kind and Quack at the Ranch into this year’s Morisset Show art competition, and I’m already excited to see what everyone brings along!

Even better… a few of my art students are also entering their paper plate masks after creating them in the studio! 🎭🎨

I absolutely LOVE seeing the kids take something they’ve created in class and put it out there for everyone to see. I can’t wait to see their colourful, crazy and wonderfully creative masks displayed at the show! 🥰

If you’ve been thinking about entering something yourself, this is your little reminder…

SO… WHAT IS OPEN STUDIO?

I’ve had a few questions about what my Open Studio Days actually are, so here’s the scoop! 👇

Think of it as a drop in creative studio where you get to choose what YOU want to create.

🖌️ Finish an artwork you’ve started
🍩 Still need to finish your donut sculpture? Bring it along!
🎨 Choose a canvas and create your own artwork
🦖 Pick a 3D sculpture to paint
✨ Grab an art kit to take home
👀 Or simply come in, have a browse and check out the studio!

There’s no set artwork or step by step project for Open Studio. You choose what you feel like creating.

It’s also a great option for students who started something in a workshop or class and just didn’t quite get it finished.

📌 Bookings are recommended if you’d like to paint, so I can make sure I have enough space and materials ready for you.

Basically… the studio is OPEN. 🎨
Come in, get creative and make it your own! 🌈
