Join us at Terese Hudson Art for a colourful lineup of creative fun this school holidays!
🍩 Special 2-Day Donut Sculpture Art Class
Day 1: 28 Sept, 2–4pm – Create your sculpture
Day 2: 2 Oct, 9.30–11.30am – Paint & take it home!
(Plaster gauze needs two days – if you can’t make Day 2, just drop into an Open Studio to finish)
Spaces are limited for the workshops – book early!

We know holiday activities can be tricky when you have siblings of different ages, so we’ve come up with a little something to make things easier for families!

One sibling creates… the other can PLAY!

When you book one of our Spring Holiday Art Workshops, you’ll receive a 20% OFF discount code for Pixie Play for a sibling to enjoy some playtime next door!

The discount can be used to:
✨ Book a play session before or after the art workshop
✨ Or have your younger sibling play while their brother or sister is creating

🎨✨ SOMETHING EXCITING IS HAPPENING IN RATHMINES! Sneak peak hot mess ! 😂🤦‍♀️✨🎨

Hi everyone! I’m Terese Hudson, a local artist and owner of Terese Hudson Art, and I’m excited to share that I’ve officially moved into my new studio!

📍 Unit 2/21 Karoonda Close, Rathmines Industrial Estate - right next door to pixieplaycafe Pixie Play Cafe

This bigger space is opening up SO many possibilities, and my goal is to help bring more creativity into our local community -giving both kids and adults opportunities to create, learn, experiment and have fun! 🌈

I’ll be offering and developing:

🎨 Kids’ art classes & bigger creative projects
🖌️ Adult workshops & Paint & Sips
🏡 Homeschool workshops
✨ 3D art & sculpture
🖼️ Exhibitions & student art shows
🎉 Paint parties & private creative sessions
📦 Creative art kits
…and lots more!

I’ll also be working alongside my husband’s business, hudtechcnc , with CNC routing and laser cutting opening up even more possibilities for creating with wood, specialty materials, custom shapes, signs, sculptures and more! 🔧🎨

There’s still A LOT to do 😅 but weekly art classes are continuing this week while I build this space into something really special.

Not for brushing teeth…

One of my favourite parts of teaching is introducing kids to fun, unexpected art techniques that make them say, “Whoa!” 🤩

The Chaos 😂
Not only am I setting up a WHOLE NEW ART STUDIO EXPERIENCE (currently building those ridiculously confusing flat-pack cabinets 🤦‍♀️😂), transferring everything over, sorting paperwork and trying to make the space actually WORK…

BUT ALSO…

I’m setting up my FIRST LOCAL ART EXHIBITION IN WANGI — which was supposed to be NEXT YEAR in February and has suddenly jumped forward to THE END OF OCTOBER THIS YEAR!!! 😳

WTF. 😂

So now I’m sorting through existing works, working out what fits, what needs changing, what new pieces I can create and, of course… SIZING. Because apparently I enjoy making my life difficult. 😂

Then there’s…

🎨 Trademark + branding + IP lawyer stuff
🎨 Preparing for the Morisset Art Show
🎨 Trying to actually PAINT

🎨 And approximately 847 other things I’ve probably forgotten…

OH… and somewhere in the middle of all that I had to recover from SALMONELLA after being food poisoned by a home-cooked dinner. 🤢😂

So yeah…

Pffffft. 😮‍💨

Some days I genuinely look around and think, HOW AM I DOING ALL OF THIS?!

But then I remember…

I’ve wanted this.
I’ve worked for this.
I’m building something of my own. ❤️

It might be chaotic, exhausting and completely overwhelming at times…

…but I CAN DO IT. 💪🎨

One cabinet, one painting, one workshop, one exhibition and one ridiculously long to-do list at a time. 😂

🎈🐕 FRIDAY ART GALLERY - WEEK 5 🎨✨

Our Balloon Dog Pop Art gallery is officially open! 🖼️💛

This week our young artists explored so much more than just drawing a balloon dog. They experimented with pastel blending, colour theory, contrast, patterns, repetition and composition to create their own bold Pop Art backgrounds.

We talked about how blending can create depth, how contrasting colours can make an artwork pop, and how patterns can completely change the feeling of a piece.

And the best part? No two artworks are the same! 🌈

Same idea. Different colours. Different patterns. Different creative choices.
That’s what makes each young artist’s work so special. ✨

👏 I’m so proud of what they created this week!
