Off the Wall is back and canvases are available now!

Now in its fourth year, Off the Wall celebrates the artistic talent of the Lake Macquarie and Hunter regions, providing local artists with an opportunity to exhibit and sell their work at MAC yapang.

Artists at all stages of their creative careers are invited to participate.

Canvases are now available from MAC yapang for $10. Purchase a canvas, create your artwork and return it by Tuesday 24 November 2026.

Still on the fence about Open Studios? Wondering what it will cost?

~Current Connections: David Collins, Sally Stokes, Belinda Street, Leah Thiessen and Ana Young~

On view at MAC yapang until 20 September.

Each artist in Current Connections immersed themselves in the landscapes of Lake Macquarie, creating their own personal responses to the region. Through painting and sculpture, they capture fleeting moments and quiet details: sunlight dancing across the water, glimpses through branches, swaying grasses, drifting clouds, and melaleucas glowing in the changing light.

As you move through the exhibition, you are encouraged to slow down, look closely, and discover your own interpretations of these familiar landscapes.
