Eurobodalla’s premier purpose-built exhibition space, with a reputation for an artist-first approach.

The Bas is renowned for its dynamic and diverse exhibition program, which showcases a wide array of contemporary art forms. From painting and sculpture to digital media and installations, the centre provides a platform for both emerging and established artists to present their work to the public. One of the highlights of The Bas is the prestigious Basil Sellers Art Prize, an acquisitive biennial award that celebrates artistic innovation and excellence. With a prize pool exceeding $50,000, this competition attracts talented artists from across Australia, offering them significant recognition and support. In addition to its exhibitions, The Bas is committed to community engagement and education. The centre hosts a variety of workshops, artist talks, and educational programs designed to nurture creativity and foster a deeper appreciation for the arts. The Bas Kids program is particularly popular, encouraging young artists to explore their creativity and participate in the annual Little Sellers Art Prize.

Double Vision: Made in Eurobodalla has been extended at the Clyde Gallery, Bay Pavilions until end of October.

This captivating exhibition showcases the works of two Eurobodalla artists and long-term partners in both life and art, Mirabel and Mark. Explore their unique creative perspectives and the connection that underpins their artistic practice.

Congratulations to Frances Luke on winning First Prize in the 2026 River of Art Prize for her artwork, Mossy Point Wetlands 1.

As part of the first-place award, Frances will present a solo exhibition at the Mechanics Institute in 2027.

A huge congratulations also to all award recipients, the 74 finalists and every artist who entered this year's prize.

The River of Art Prize 2026 exhibition is open daily at the Mechanics Institute, Moruya, from 10am to 4pm until 5 October.

Susurrus (soo-SUR-uhs): a whisper, a murmur, the soft stir of the season.
That spirit carried through our recent volunteer preview, where there was time to listen, ask questions, hear from the artist, enjoy a cuppa and spend a little longer with the artworks.

Sometimes the quiet conversations are just as meaningful as the opening itself.
