Yesterday, we were delighted to welcome Aimee Rowland, artist and founder of Blue Tree Gallery near Cradle Mountain, who visited Lifeline Tasmania to personally deliver a donation she has been collecting through her gallery donation tin, to our CEO, Liz Brown.

We are incredibly grateful for Aimee's ongoing support and for everyone who has contributed through the donation tin. Your generosity helps us continue providing crisis support and mental health services to Tasmanians when they need them most.

30,000 people saw the outside.
So we thought it would be rude not to show you what's actually in here.
A shipping container in the middle of the Tasmanian ferns. Over 30 local artists, makers, and small businesses. Sharing the vulnerable and the parts that are often left unspoken plus with amazing coffee.

And somehow, without planning it, a place where people come in for five minutes and stay for an hour.
That's not an accident. That's what happens when a space is built for people to actually feel something rather than just move through it. A space that gives you the PERMISSION to slow down and breathe.

'Please Take Everything I have' 2025, oil on canvas. Representing the parts of ourselves we will often give away before feeling hurt.

"Please Take Everything I Have" is June's print project artwork. Every month I send a free print to those who need it. Without a catch, just art in the mail.

This month I want you to nominate that person.

Think about the strong one. The one who always says they're fine. They are always labelled as strong, brave, happy, or even just "bulletproof" sometimes its these types that need more connection and need others to take care of them too. The one who holds it all together so quietly that nobody thinks to check on them.

We always hear it after. "They were so strong. I never knew."

Nominate the strong one. Or nominate yourself, because sometimes we are that person and we forget we're allowed to receive something too.

Winter in Tasmania has a way of making everything feel smaller especially the list of reasons to leave the house.

So we made you a reason

There's a stone-painting corner in the gallery now. Come in from the cold, pick a stone, paint it. No skill required (the whole point is that there isn't a point). Slow, quiet, a little bit grounding. Which is exactly what this time of year asks for and gives you the permission to do.

When you're done, leave your stone in the tiny garden out front. It's growing one painted rock at a time. Or take it home, a small thing to hold onto when the feelings slip back in.

Winter gets fairly lonely, and this is one way to hold on to something reminding us of connection
