Metal in motion. Form under tension. 🔥
For more than four decades, David Hamilton has helped shape Tasmania’s sculptural landscape — casting, forging and carving works that speak to environmental loss, old-growth forests and the power of place.

Now, alongside Gene McLaren, his smaller sculptural works come alive in Tensile: Explorations in Metal and Form at Blenheim Gallery.

Bold. Colourful. Elemental. Catch this wonderful exhibition.

💥Bold, beautiful, and brilliantly crafted - David Hamilton and Gene McLaren

David Hamilton’s wall-mounted Bardiche series of sculptures at Blenheim Gallery bring the force of 14th-century Eastern European and Russian polearms into a striking contemporary sculptural form.

Forged with exceptional skill, these works balance power, precision, and beauty — a standout moment in the current exhibition.
Come in and see them up close.
