Lennox Arts Collective

Lennox Arts Collective The Lennox Arts Collective is a truly local experience. Support your local creatives today! Art workshops are run on week days and weekends.

Regular guest exhibitions ensure there is always something new to see. The gallery began more than a decade ago, when a group of Lennox Head artists decided to open their own gallery. As a collective they share the expenses and the day to day running of the gallery. We are:

Chris O’Neill Oaten is our Featured Artist - beginning this Friday ✨

"As an emerging artist, I create bold, modern still life compositions using acrylics, focusing on scenes of food, drink, places and nostalgic objects that celebrate cherished memories with loved ones. My art is inspired by special moments captured in personal photos. My process usually involves sketching onto the canvas before the painting begins and then totally immersing myself in the work.

Growing up on a farm in the Northern Rivers, I developed a passion for painting and sketching, retro crafts like crochet and a love for cooking. After a long career in another field, I returned to painting as a means to cope with profound and heartbreaking grief. This process has become a meditative and healing practice for me, allowing me to really get involved in each painting and find joy every day in creating bold and original works.

My art often features plate scapes, reflecting on the warmth of and sharing meals, laughter and the beauty of life’s fleeting moments. Perhaps the empty plates are symbolic of those who are no longer at the table. Whereas the works with full plates of food may provoke thoughts of abundance, sustenance, togetherness and celebrations of memories and beginnings. With a deep appreciation for coffee, food, cooking and good company, I strive to create pieces that resonate with human connections, inviting viewers to reflect on their own meaningful connections.”

Chris will be showing her work at the Featured Artist space in the Lennox Arts Collective gallery beginning Friday October 17th through to Thursday October 30th 2025.

Lennox Arts Collective gallery is open 7 days a week, 10am-3pm and is located on the main street of Lennox Head, nestled between Talisman and La Chelle.
