As September comes to an end, we wanted to take a moment to say thank you.
To our local community, our friends within the industry, our families, and everyone who has walked through the doors of The Village Kitchen over the past few weeks — the support we have received has genuinely meant so much to us.
Taking on The Village Kitchen has been a huge chapter for our family, and we feel incredibly honoured to build on the foundations that Shane and Kelly have set and continue what this place has come to mean to so many people.
The Village Kitchen has always been more than just a café. We understand that we have stepped into a place with a lot of history, memories and connections behind it, and we don’t take that lightly.
As we make The Village Kitchen our own, staying genuine to who we are will always matter. Food has always been at the centre of our lives, and now we get to share our creations with you and simply let the food do the talking.
We will always stand for quality.
We will always aim for consistency.
And everyone who walks through our doors will always be welcomed into our Village.
There is plenty we want to build on, plenty we’re excited to introduce, and no doubt plenty we will learn along the way. But at the heart of it, our goal is simple — good food, genuine hospitality and a place that our community can continue to call their own.
Thank you for backing us, checking in on us, recommending us, visiting us and simply being there throughout our first month.
None of this would be possible without our family at home, who have supported us through the long days and everything that comes with taking this on, or our incredible staff who show up every day and put so much into what we’re building together.
They say “it takes a village”, and over this past month we’ve really come to understand what that means. Our family, our team, our friends and this community are all a part of our Village.
We’re incredibly grateful to be here and excited for what’s ahead.
