On Thursday evening MOVE was proud to welcome the Victorian Horticulture Inbound Trade Mission to Shepparton, hosting an evening function for local producers and leading fresh produce importers from Greater China, North Asia and Southeast Asia.

The visit highlighted not only the strength of Victoriaโ€™s world-class horticulture industry, but also the important role regional destinations like Shepparton play in driving tourism, trade and economic growth.

With deep ties to the fruit growing industry, many long-standing grower families and transport operators continue to provide essential support to MOVE including several recognised within the Museumโ€™s Avenue of Legends.

The evening was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate and share our story of an industry that has helped shape the Goulburn Valley for generations.

As part of the Gala Opening of the new Classic Bus Pavilion, MOVE proudly honoured four individuals whose passion, leadership and unwavering support helped shape the organisation into what it is today.

The induction of inaugural Life Members recognised those who have gone above and beyond to back the vision of MOVE preserving transport heritage and creating a significant tourism attraction.

They are;

With enormous pride, gratitude and a true sense of occasion, we are incredibly proud to officially announce the opening of the new Classic Bus Pavilion at MOVE.

On Saturday evening, more than 340 guests from across Australia gathered to celebrate this remarkable milestone, a dream that became a realty after nearly 60 years.

A huge congratulations to the Bus & Coach Society of Victoria, whose members and supporters raised more than $1 million towards bringing this extraordinary project to life. Built overwhelmingly through community passion, generosity and fundraising, the pavilion stands as a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when people unite behind a shared vision.

To all supporters, sponsors, volunteers, partners and contributors, we say thank you. Your belief, generosity and unwavering commitment have helped create something truly special to be enjoyed for generations to come.

Built on grain, grit and generations of hard work.

The Broadbent journey began in 1952, when Ned Broadbent started a small freight business in western Victoria. Over the decades, the operation evolved into the major grain logistics and transport network now known as CHS Broadbent, operating across Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.

Released in 2017, the Kenworth Legend 900 was created to honour the iconic T900 and classic W-model Kenworths that shaped Australian highways, quickly becoming one of the most sought-after modern Kenworths ever built.

Magnificently presented, this particular rig also carries special significance, having previously been owned by MOVE Legend I.R. Cootes โ€” adding another layer of history and meaning for all who admire it.

With fuel prices today enough to make your eyes water, itโ€™s remarkable to stand before a machine from a time when filling the tank may have cost only a few shillings and pence.

Now nearing 100 years old, this beautifully restored Mobilgas delivery vehicle is more than just a truck โ€” itโ€™s a rolling reminder of a simpler Australia. An era of quiet country roads, handwritten ledgers, service with a handshake and fuel deliveries made one drum at a time.

The craftsmanship poured into its restoration is nothing short of exceptional, preserving every curve, line and detail with extraordinary care and respect for the past.

Standing before it, you can almost hear the engine rumble to life and picture it travelling the highways and dusty backroads of Victoria, proudly carrying the Mobilgas name from town to town.

A magnificent piece of transport history and an absolute privilege to display at MOVE.
