This meeting has been moved forward a week as it was originally scheduled for Easter Sunday. The hall will be closed on Easter Sunday.

Happy New Year 🎉 Our volunteers are back from a well‑earned break and ready to share more local history.

The next meeting of the Rosewood Scrub Historical Society will be held on Sunday 1st February at 12.30pm at the hall. All are welcome at the meeting.

The hall will then be open as per normal from 1.30 – 4pm.

📣 Come along to our AGM📣

The AGM will be held on Saturday 29 November at the Marburg Community Centre in Queen Street Marburg. The meeting will begin at 10 am with a short presentation on the history of the society over the last 46 years. There will be a break with light refreshments. Following the break, our normal General Meeting will be held.

All welcome. New volunteers appreciated. 😊

🎉Come along on Saturday the 20th September to the Marburg Black Snake Creek Festival🎉 The festival will run from 8am-3pm with market stalls across the Marburg Community Park.
We will have our hall open for visitors to browse the displays and research library. We will also have books for sale. Our hall is located at 73 Edmond Street Marburg. Hope to see you there!

🎉Come along on Saturday the 13th September to the Rosewood State School as we join them to celebrate their 150th anniversary 🎉

We will have a stall with a historical display and books for sale. The fete will run from 10am-3pm. Hope to see you there!

🕘 FLASHBACK FRIDAY 📸
Over the next few weeks we will explore the history of our organisation and pay tribute to the valuable work of our past volunteers.

Many of our original volunteers are no longer able to assist with the running of the society but their legacies live on. Terry was one of the founding members of the historical society and researched and compiled a great amount of local historical information.

To learn how to become a member or to volunteer, contact us or visit us to learn more. There are only three people who are long time members who are still able to assist currently, so any extra assistance would be most welcome.
