It was a pleasure to welcome the Northern Tablelands Land Council to the National Transport Museum for a special Smoking Ceremony and Welcome to Country.

Around 60 guests joined us for the occasion, with catering provided by Smo-KING Barbecue.

We were honoured to be part of a day centred around culture, community and connection, and enjoyed welcoming everyone to the museum.

What a lovely Sunday morning spent at the museum. A big thank you to the Lotus Club for your visit. It was fantastic to see such an incredible collection of rare and beautiful vehicles from all over Australia.

📣Latest News 📣
The Aermacchi MB-326 turbojet engine is one of the newest additions to the museum collection and is set to become part of an exciting new interactive display!

Powered by the Armstrong Siddeley Viper turbojet engine, the Aermacchi MB-326 was widely used as a military training aircraft. Developed in Britain, the Viper engine first entered service in 1953 and went on to power a range of aircraft, including the Royal Air Force Dominie T1 and the MB-326.

This particular engine has had several covers replaced with Perspex panels, allowing visitors to see inside the workings of the turbojet engine for educational and training purposes. The display will give visitors a rare opportunity to view the internal components and better understand how a jet engine operates.

Come along and bring your little learners and enjoy this special new exhibit!

🚗 Lotus Club Visit – Sunday 31st May 🚗
We’ll be welcoming over 70 Lotus Club members to the museum for breakfast on Sunday 31st May. Their cars will be on display for everyone to have a look at, including some pretty special and rare vehicles.
If you’re interested in seeing them, come down, grab a coffee and enjoy the morning.
Cars will be arriving from 8am.
