Well we finished up our September acrylic painting course yesterday and boy what a lot of ground was covered. The course got a lot more technical that I’d expected - this group had high standards for themselves and it soon escalated from beginner, through intermediate to advanced techniques! With several subjects covered and a new painting almost every week, I didn’t have time to photo everyone’s work or the whole group but here are Maura and Madeleine with some of their creations. Thanks to all that attended and I wish you many happy paintings ahead 🤗🎨

Sometimes the hardest thing in art class is trying not to eat the props! Continuing our acrylic art lesson today covering drawing ellipses, blending shadows, painting shine on different surfaces, and working with contrasting colours. Our school art teacher always made us paint still life after still life….we used to moan about it but she was right. When you master the basic still life, you can paint almost anything. We continue next week. ❤️❤️❤️

Just loving all these red dots 🔴🔴🔴 a HUGE thank you to all of my wonderful clients who visit me .Gladstone - be it for a workshop, an artwork or to randomly get your surfboard (or boogie board) turned into wall art!
Also huge thanks to Willow Morris work experience artist extraordinaire who is quietly working behind the scenes on some of these pieces with me.
