I wanted to share "Listen", a study of black gestures against a pale field where dense marks meet wide open zones. Angular ladder-like forms and wheel-shaped circles sit beside looser loops, and thicker, deliberate marks anchor the composition while quicker lines thread through the negative space. The rhythm feels restless and steady at once — diagonals drive the eye, horizontal bands calm it, and repeating circles bring everything back around. There’s an urban grit running through it, a kind of construction-and-decay energy that rewards a closer look. I’m sharing Tango with you because it offers a lively, balanced mix of motion and calm. Sweeping, interlocking shapes collide in lemon yellow and tangerine against cool aqua and soft lilac, while deep navy and cherry red punctuate the composition and create moments of pause. Overlapping contours suggest translucence and shifting color, and white passages give the busier areas room to breathe. Sepia tones gather around a compact still life of worn objects: ceramic bottles, a cobbler’s last, a tarnished bell, a coiled wheel framing an old alarm clock, and a weathered plaster head that tilts with quiet resignation. I used close lighting to pull highlights across cracked glaze and dented metal while shadows carve out deep recesses and a palpable sense of depth. The stopped, slightly askew clock sits at the center, the other pieces reading like fragments of routine and careful neglect. I'm sharing "The Only One Who Is" because it brings together simple shapes into a lively, constructed space. Teal crescents sweep over olive vaults, a cobalt wedge cuts diagonally and a marigold triangle punctuates the layout, while cylinders and stacked rectangles suggest windows or machinery. Smooth luminous passages sit next to softly mottled fields and a wood-toned element that reads as tactile, and narrow slats with a twisted red arc give the piece a steady rhythm. I arranged three weathered metal vessels against a deep black field in a quiet triangular composition. A tall conical can with a narrow neck anchors the left, a textured pitcher with a delicate curved handle sits in the center, and a squat jug with a wide loop handle closes the right. Strong contrasts of light and shadow bring out fine scratches, small dents, and uneven patina, giving the forms a modest, sculptural presence. I think it brings subtle character and tactile interest to a study, entryway, or dining area. See it here: https://www.jackbraudis.com/warehouse-open-edition-prints/art_print_products/three-cans

Porphyrius places a weathered plaster bust among found objects: a spoked wheel, an alarm clock paused at a quiet hour, a wooden shoe last, a dented metal cup and a worn scrub brush. The black-and-white treatment turns surface and shape into the focus, with light and shadow drawing the eye across repeating circles and solid forms.

I notice the small stories in the details, the frozen clock hands, the dented cup and the worn edges that suggest long use. Take a closer look here: https://www.jackbraudis.com/warehouse-open-edition-prints/art_print_products/the-greek-chariot

Ghost Dance places deep nocturnal blues and forest greens beside a vertical column of ochre and a bold red slice. I like how pale, organic shapes drift through the center while darker, calligraphic marks introduce a quiet sense of movement. It feels both ordered and restless, the kind of work that changes depending on where you stand in the room.
