We’re now halfway through our Appeal, and we’re sincerely grateful to all our supporters so far.

This support ensures that we are able to present a bold exhibition experience and the best opportunity to share the remarkable artistic legacy of Eric Thake, which is well overdue.

This week we’ve had the privilege of spending time with Wadawurrung artist Dr , who has generously shared stories, knowledge, and guidance through hands-on workshops creating eel trap artworks using ochre.

This year’s Reconciliation Week theme, All In, invites everyone to play a role. These special workshops encouraged reflection on our shared histories and cultures, and celebrated what reconciliation can look like when everybody takes part.

We’re delighted to launch the program for Discovering the Impressionists, a season of events that extends the exhibition beyond the Gallery walls.

Across the program, special food and wine experiences, French-language tours, lectures, and in-conversations with leading commentators on nineteenth-century art, Claude Monet and Impressionism, invite visitors to experience the exhibition from different perspectives and at different paces.
