Founded in 1976, the Bellarine Historical Society operates from the Court House Museum, 11 High Street, Drysdale, Victoria. The Society aims to display and preserve artefacts that are pertinent to the Bellarine Peninsula.

For all you lovely people who have been following us and contributing on this page, please note that we have set up a new page and would really appreciate you 'following' us on the new page. We can then keep you up to date with all the latest information/updates and fascinating history of the Bellarine district.

Can anyone assist with the history of this cottage located in Portarlington. I believe it was built in the 1920s and the renovations carried out within the last 15 years.

The Museum will be open on Sunday September 14 from 10.30 onwards. Ample parking nearby and coffee shops within walking distance.

Thinking of volunteering at the Museum, 11 High Street, Drysdale?

There will be an informal induction session for those considering a role in the team. This will be followed by morning tea and a chat.
Sunday 21st September, 2025 from 10 am.

AN APPEAL FOR VOLUNTEERS TO SUPPORT THE COURTHOUSE MUSEUM IN DRYSDALE.
If you have a few hours to spare on a Sunday we would love you to join our team in preserving our rich history.

Why we need your help.
Due to the shortage of volunteers, we are currently unable to open the Museum to the public as often as we would like. This limits our ability to share the rich history of the Bellarine Peninsula.

VOLUNTEER REQUIRED

We are after a tech savvy volunteer to edit our page. This may involve adding new administrators, etc. The page has not undergone an upgrade for some time. Any advice, suggestions will be helpful.
