Sarah Reeves began her career in astronomy, completing a PhD at the University of Sydney focused on how galaxies evolve. Alongside her research, she developed a passion for science communication through public engagement roles at Sydney Observatory.
She later joined the Powerhouse Museum, where she helped deliver major space exhibitions including Apollo 11 and Task Eternal. Her work focused on showcasing Australia’s growing role in the global space sector and making space more accessible to audiences.
Today, Sarah works as the Space Sector Engagement Lead at the Bureau of Meteorology, supporting Australia’s expanding spaceflight industry through weather and space weather services that help enable safe launches and operations.
