Meet the Maker ✨
Carin is the creative force behind PLOYS, where her passion for sustainability transforms discarded pool inflatables into one of a kind bags, purses, and home accessories—truly taking designs from float to fashion. Alongside her work as an Occupational Therapist in mental health, where she supports people to build positive futures, Carin channels that same purpose into reducing plastic waste through thoughtful design. Supported by her husband Gerhard and a small team of like minded helpers, PLOYS is a community driven initiative, from collecting punctured pool toys to sewing each unique piece. Carin also gives back through organising beach clean ups, creating impact both creatively and environmentally.
