I was lucky to pick up this old antique Victorian frame, thought this little Bulli Pass scene would suit it. Entering the detail stage, three more sessions and I will reveal the finished painting

I’ve been busy working on this painting over the last couple of weeks, still haven’t finished, but getting close. The last stage is the slowest, detailing, glazing, painting leaves, grass. It’s been a challenge and waiting for each layer of paint to dry is sometimes frustrating. Will be finished soon and I will keep you all updated with the finished project.

I don’t know what he’s hunting, maybe I should paint a fish for him. The title of the painting will be called the hunt and outing which will also feature aboriginal women and children cooking and playing. The lone figure is simply there to give me insight to what I need next. This is still in the modelling stage, a long way to go I would say a month. Hope you all enjoy, keep you updated

Just finished off a small painting off Bulli Pass above the elbow 1892, well maybe add a little bit more detail when in dries in the morning and then back to my major works, now that they have finally dried, happy painting all. 50x28cm

An update still a few months to go, working on the second stage of my process which is modelling stages, it takes time as there is a lot of drying and glazing between coats, having fun, hope you enjoy the process. It’s been a while since my last post as I’ve had a few commission works to complete.

My small painting is in the final stages, working on the left hand side and road. Have enjoyed this little project especially with glazing using transparent red and yellow oxide mixed transparent tinting white, this creates a lovely yellow tinge to the painting and gives the impression of sun rise. With two large commissions on the move it’s always relaxing doing these small paintings
