Friday 4 September | Micheal Do — Revisiting 1989: Art, AIDS and America
How might grief become a visual language? What happens when artists take control of their own stories, and look back towards a past with no clear future in sight?
Join curator, writer and broadcaster Micheal Do as he revisits two landmark exhibitions from 1989 - Nan Goldin’s Witnesses: Against Our Vanishing and Against Nature: A Group Show by Homosexual Men - exploring performance, contemporary art, and the q***r archive of gossip, ghosts and what the record leaves out.
The Ngununggula Art&.. Lecture Series is every Friday this term from 1pm-2pm. More information on the program and tickets are available on our website.
