Pointless Posting on a Saturday

Episode 1 - Arts vs Drunks

Coffs City Council has asked for the removal of the sculpture after one complaint about the safety of drunk people. It would be an impressive drunken 3m side straft to in a drunken state "impale themselves on the sculpture". We're actually along way from any pub or bar too. 🤔

There have been four public exhibitions so far with zero impaling incidents. Once in a backyard as part of a suburban house exhibition in inner city Melbourne (drinks involved), along a trainline also in Melbourne, on a public beach in Currumbin as part of SWELL Sculpture Festival, and here at my home in Sawtell, Mid North Coast, Nsw.

We've had another request to RENT A STUDIO space for up to 4 months.

Since FYRESIDE ARTS was the only Contemporary Artist Run Initiative that hosted full-time studio spaces, workshop space and galleries in this area, we don't know where to forward our requests.

Message us and we'll put you in touch with a painter preparing for a show at Lismore Regional Gallery.
