Unfortunately, we were unable to get a quorum at our last general meeting so a few things will be held over until next time.
The annual general meeting will take place on the 26th of September at 2.00pm at the Museum.
All positions will be vacated and a new executive voted upon. Should anyone wish to nominate for a position or nominate someone else, please call to the Museum to collect a nomination form.
Members are encouraged to consider being part of the executive team.
Please come along so as we can get the member numbers needed for a quorum.
We look forward to seeing you there.

Whilst going past most would think there is not much going on at the Museum.
Behind the doors and the within the grounds there are always things happening.
Restorations, research, planning, organising displays and documenting new and older donations, are just a few things going on.
Currently restorations are being done on the corn planter and the phone box, and we thank our volunteers for their work on these projects.
With the old Kerry bridge Hotel currently on the market it has highlighted attention to the model of the building constructed by Jack Willis.
This beautiful model is just one of a number on display here at the Museum, along with so many other exhibits.
We are open every day from 10am till 2pm.
Hope to see you soon.

Now that the dust has settled and we have all come down to earth, we would like to thank everyone who participated in the Butter factory open day last month. It was a great event with many stories told a lot of reminiscing and some wonderful catchups for people associated with the factory. We thank John and Norma Flanagan for putting so much work into making the day a success along with others who provided information about the cream truck runs and dairies around the district. We hope each and every one enjoyed the day and we look forward to seeing you again soon at the Museum.

Before mass production, butter was made using a variety of different churns. One of the more unusual types is the Tamworth Minute butter churn, also known as the Kangaroo butter churn. This unique piece will be on display during our Butter Factory celebration day on June 27th.

The Museum's Butter Factory celebration day is just over two weeks away on the 27th of June.
The Logan and Albert Co-Operative Dairy Factory, fondly known as the butter factory, supported many people and families throughout its years of operation.
The factory provided employment and a steady source of income to farmers, factory, office workers and those employed at the Piggery.
Numerous transport companies brought milk and cream to the factory, along with the Beaudesert Tramway carrying cream cans from outer lying areas whilst it was operating.
Dairying was a common on many farms in earlier days, and the factory grew to provide a stable outlet for producers at the time.
The museum will have free admission on the day and will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
We welcome anyone connected to the factory to drop in, share stories, and reminisce about its history.
We’re also looking to further document the names of people who may have been involved at various points whilst the factory was operating.
A raffle will be held, and light refreshments will be available for purchase during the celebration.
The Museum is open to everyone for the day and look forward to seeing you there.

With our Butter Factory open day coming up on the 27th of June, we would like to thank John and Norma Flanagan for donating the white gumboots for our mannequin aptly named after John, who worked there for many years.
The mannequin is dressed in clothing as worn by the factory workers in the later years of it's time.
We look forward to showcasing the many years of the dairying industry in our district.
The factory was a big part of Beaudesert and it's surrounds, and we hope you may be able to take the time to visit on the 27th of June.
Entry is free on the day and the Museum will be open from 9am till 3pm for the event.
