Adults $17, concession $15, under 16 $5, under 5 free. "ARADALE" (ARARAT LUNATIC ASYLUM)

Tours are currently running every Sunday and Wednesday

Friends of J Ward have recently donated a cheque for $2000 to the Pink Day Breast Cancer Appeal.

Funds raised will go towards the Ararat Blue Ribbon's efforts to have a Mammogram Machine at the East Grampians Hospital.

ARADALE MUSEUM- As part of our Aradale external Day History Tours by Friends Of J-Ward, you can visit our newly upgraded Aradale Visitors Centre Museum, located at the rear Grano St entrance of Aradale. After 6 months of work by our dedicated volunteers the 5 rooms have all new lighted displays with original Aradale items, old pictures, staff pictures, The Aradale Grapevine Magazine (Aradale's offical Magazine) news articles & technical information, patent history's plus a large assortment of souvenirs & books. Tours are held at 10am Sunday's & Wednesday's (we advise you come early to view our Museum), Book your tour at aradale.com.au

EXCELENT NEWS: Friends of J Ward & Aradale Day History Tours are pleased to announce that external tours of Aradale on Wednesdays and Sundays at 10am will commence on Wednesday 30 September, while an assessment of Aradale’s buildings is undertaken.
New arrangements have been made with Melbourne Polytechnic for a slightly different tour route with a few new tour locations for an excellent opportunity to hear the Aradale history, see & photograph the Awesomeness that is Aradale, as well as visit our new Aradale Museum. ANNOUNCEMENT: As of today due to safety concerns, our tours of the Aradale Asylum have been suspended by Melbourne Polytechnic (whom we lease from) until further notice.

We are all really saddened by this at JWard as our volunteers absolutely love taking our visitors through the site! These tours have been running for over 15 years and play a large role in contributing to our towns economy through tourism.

As soon as we have more information, we will post an update.

J Ward were honoured to host the Cottage By The Sea Queenscliffe fund-raiser today.

It was a huge success with numerous local people being bailed out of lock-up and a huge amount raised to support the amazing work these guys do!

Well done to all involved, including the Ararat RSL, Anglican Church of Ararat, Ararat Rural City Council, Ararat Primary School, Foster's Menswear, Ararat Advocate, numerous committees and many others.
